The Brussels Flower Carpet:

Every two years, Brussels’ famous Grand-Place is transformed into a magnificent temporary work of art during the Flower Carpet, one of the city’s most iconic events. For just four days, a spectacular floral carpet measuring 70 by 24 metres covers the historic heart of Brussels, creating an unforgettable display of colour, fragrance, and creativity.
Created by more than a hundred volunteers using hundreds of thousands of flowers, this monumental masterpiece attracts visitors from around the world at every edition. Each evening, the Flower Carpet is further enhanced by a sound and light show projected onto the historic façades surrounding the Grand-Place.
For its 24th edition, taking place from 13 to 16 August 2026, the event will celebrate Japan with a design inspired by Japanese art, showcased in one of the world’s most beautiful squares.
